Jaguars are yellow and black…
How about Beryl the yellow peril. Don’t forget to programme the special button to turn off the annoying “drivers aid” stuff.
Crème Anglaise.
I know about the button
. It was pretty much the first thing he showed me. Been out and about all afternoon, I even found out it had rear doors- honestly thought it was only 2 doors (IMO it would be better with just 2 doors as the rear seats are fairly useless with me driving).
Yes, they are very subtle. We’ve a baby seat temporarily in the back of ours now and the front seat passenger has their knees in their teeth.
Some hot deals on Swastikars.

A dozen Teslas were set on fire in france a couple of days ago, Billy? ![]()
I’m not saying I wouldn’t but I have an alibi ![]()
For the avoidance of doubt - wanton destruction of other people’s property is wrong and the fact that the poor labourers that built it work for Ming the Merciless does not make it right.
Yet another environmental disaster arising from the need for fossil fuel. ![]()
And arising from the need for cargo too. ![]()
It would be interesting to know how much of the oil cargo was destined for manufacture of the 1000s of items we use on a daily basis other than filling the fuel tank.
I thought of that but when I had my power boat, a fellow boater had a bright yellow power boat called Custard Monster.
Apparently, it, and several other tankers from the same company, is under contract to the US government to supply fuel to their bases in Europe. Probably sitting at anchor waiting for the call. ![]()
I see adverts for the revamped Renault 4 now on television. Reckon they will work their way through the old ranges with new versions.
The cargo on the tanker in question was 100% fuel. I get the point that I think you are trying to make that crude oil goes to make other products’
Roughly speaking 10% of crude oil goes to make non fuel / lubricant products such as plastics, tarmac etc (although there are alternatives). I would suggest that even if we can only reduce pollution by 90% by not burning it for fuel we will go a long way to reducing the devastating effects of using it.
Is it just me or does it not really look like the old Quatrelle?
Bits of it have some semblance to the original quatrelle eg the front grill and the doors. Dashboard, steering wheel, battery etc looks exactly the same as the new R5e
I’m struggling a bit to figure out how it differentiates itself sufficiently from the R5 e-tech.
I had an old R5 inthe 80’s and the front mounted gearbox separated from the front mount driving through Halifax. The gearbox hit the ground at the front end and the whole gearbox and engine assembly pivoted forwards on the engine mounts. I was able to drive it the short distance to a garage I knew with the gearbox bouncing on the tarmac. Maybe I won’t get a R5 e-tech ![]()
Gearbox is missing on the EV, there is of course a transmission. Saw my first R5 EV in what I would call midnight blue. Actually looked a nice car.
