EV - buy or wait?

I briefly considered the dark blue version but it seemed a little dull, so I went for the yellow and black

I wouldn’t have said dull but I suppose it’s all relative.

I hope that you have looked again. Didn’t the fact that I saw a blue one think they might also come in blue?

Saw one outside the dealer today. It looked very nice, suits the R5 shape.

Ah, hearsay :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Apologies all for the confusion, I was on the UK site and they only have 4 colour choices - no blue!!

And no LHD

I thought that might have been the reason. :slightly_smiling_face:

I found out recently that the new CFO at Renault went to school with me. We were even in the same classes for maths…! I wonder if he gets a good staff discount and, if so, whether he remembers me?

It’s fun occasionally finding out what became of former classmates, one of mine is a well-known opera singer and another became the Managing Director of Rolls-Royce Defence Systems, seem to remember she also captained the netball team, though can’t recall if they were defensively strong …

Having attended a comprehensive school I have no idea if any of my peers achieved fame and fortune however our children have all had public school education and many of their peers are now notable members of society.
The first that springs to mind is cricketer Joe Root who was in the same school year as our youngest son. Their house common room was a playground for cricket practice with one particular wall littered with small round red dints. The boys were chastised at the time but if the damage has not repaired it should now be a place of pilgrimage for cricket fans.

When I worked briefly for FIAT England in '74/'75 the staff discount was the same as the dealer discount, 23.5%. You could buy a new car every six months and sell the “old” one through the dealer network. A nice little perq.

Several of my Comprehensive school peers have had achieved success, fame and fortune. One left school at 16 set up a specialist sports clothing manufacturing unit on a local industrial estate, built up an internationally known label which he sold in his mid twenties for millions. He continued to work for the company until his early retirement. Another is a well known face who appears on the TV screens whenever there is an election, there have been the odd musician or two and several reached high positions within the armed forces which seemed to earn them a place on the honours list as well. One of my ex colleagues taught Paul Gascoigne. He used to bump into him now and again and found it amusing that Gaza always called him sir.

Oh, on a similar note… I’m an Aston Villa fan - for my sins. One of their players, who’s also part of the England squad, had the same PE teacher as me. Although 20 years apart

I like to think it was by teaching me all those years ago that he picked up the techniques that helped develop this guy into a Premier League footballer.

Buttercup.

Edited - has to be - nothing else has that beautiful shine in sunlight.

Did you put a flower under your chin to see if it reflected the yellow onto your skin, so you’d know you liked butter (or not)?

I predicted it. We always seem to lose to your lot… Last year you thumped us 5-0, so at least we improved by conceding one less this time. I reckon by 2030 we might get a draw.
