Like a Ferrari and a Fiat, according to my missus

Or a Skoda and a VW for those badge snobs :joy:

Do they do an electric version of this?

On 2 occasions when purchasing a new Mercedes in the 80s I had the option of choosing whether or not to have a rear badge so those following didn’t know how quick off the mark it could be.
Having the Merc badge on the bonnet was of course obligatory.

No, but you can have it converted. Just remembered King Charles has an electric one.

When I used to chase Merc’s it always seemed they had one more gear in the box and off they would go

I hasten to add that the Ferrari pictured is not mine.

Oh, on my little screen I thought it was a Db4

So that a few years down the line it can be twisted off by some teenaged boy as a trophy to be worn round his neck. Then a few years after that the badge on the back removed.

If they do, all involved in such heresy should be burned at the stake.

Look on bright side, damn sight more reliable

You’re in luck

Not at all - it would be a great idea.

If I had vintage DB4 money I’d take it straight around to these guys to make it faster, more reliable, & cheaper to run.

Now, where are the matches…?

Indeed. At the end of the day it’s only a car and that’s not to forget that there’s a long history of modifying cars to improve performance, reliability etc.

So did I.

We suspected that might be the case…

However it does raise the question of whether or not converting a car like that is really desirable. The car becomes bogus and will no longer drive the way it did (even if it now has better acceleration). Presumably with such a valuable car the owner would in any case keep the original power train, but for me it becomes a very expensive novelty - a silent classic Ferrari…

Thanks John, thought you might agree!
