Facebook killed my account

Yesterday I received an automated message from Facebook informing me that my account had been deactivated due to a violation of their terms.

This is what it said;

"Your account was disabled for violating the Facebook Terms. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to reactivate your account or respond to your email directly."

This resulted in the immediate disappearance of the Survive France Facebook page which has 6000 fans, a page which I have invested a lot of time and effort and over 1000 euros in it's promotion via Facebook ads.

I have replied and am awaiting a response.

If anyone has had a similar experience or can suggest how I might get my account reeinstated, please let me know!

Oh go on, Celeste - just click and be his friend. Even though I still think he looks like a young Kenneth Branagh, he's really handy at laying concrete and sitting in the kitchen sink.

Oh go for it and be his friend Celeste - he needs all the friends he can get!

Looks like you are being mass reported. Any people you know that would actually be bored or trash enough to waste time mass reporting you??

I am making enquiries with FB, I'll keep you all updated, thanks.

Steve, if you can add me as a friend on Facebook there is a good example there https://www.facebook.com/jamesehigginson

James can you give an example?

Good point Valerie, I'll check again in a while :)

Clicked on 'link' and article heading itself. Both working. If they suddenly stop in an hour or two, then I'd worry.

Must be a software glitch!

Weird. Just posted to Facebook, the article is about making a table from pallets, please can you check that one for me too?

Same thing on "M. Hollande" - the title is working fine. It seems to be only the "Link: full article" bit.

Have tried 'C'est Bon', 'Friends' and 'LinkedIn' - all of these are reporting as abusive if I click on "Link: full article". I hadn't actually noticed before because I usually click on the article heading itself and those are working, which presumably they wouldn't be if someone was scuppering the content. Might be something in the link setup itself?

I would be interested to know if you or anyone else is seeing this problem and on which posts.

Our page has not been blocked Maria, that issue has been resolved. The new problem is that either someone is reporting our content to FB as abusive or there is some kind of software glitch with Facebook.

For example, if you go to our FB page here https://www.facebook.com/survivefrance

and click on the 'Full article' link in one of the posts, some people are getting the abusive content page that I posted below!

Hi James, just put your name in search on FB and it came to your page and also SFN..not sure which page of yours has been blocked...but can still access SFN...

This one for example, this is on my own wall https://www.facebook.com/jamesehigginson/posts/483995288283443?notif_t=share_comment

Which ones, James? I've just clicked on a random 3 and they went to the correct page.

We are experiencing a new problem with our Facebook posts. When you click on one you get sent to this page.![](upload://m6UebHQehDKseEmJzuqcNpq1gL0.jpg)

This is happening for many if not all post I make to Facebook. Anyone have any suggestions please?

Jan your search engine, be it google, altavista, or yahoo, is guilty of same, as is your E-mail provider. Any online shopping you do, they do likewise.. online banking.. same as. Any bills you pay on line, ont only does your government know about them, but so does the US.

Martin hits the nail on the head, if you want to avoid data mining, become a recluse. As for unsolicited, bull, There are privacy, and security settings on facebook. People that are either too stupid, or too lazy to use them, well that's their own fault if one of their photos goes worldwide, or some ex can see what they're up to without having to friend them. It's a mere case of clicking buttons, but some prefer to moan about security flaws.
