French Supermarkets! Give me strength

Nah Vic not you , just replying to Simons post - many apologies

Are you talking to me Peter?

The one thing about a successful Greenkeeper is his or her ability to take criticism. It's amazing how many golf club members think they know it all ! Yes, a thick skin and a healthy sense of humour are pre requisites for that job - now, where did I put the Valium tabs ?

Sorry James, I don't understand. Which part do you wish me to edit? I obviously said something you didn't like but can't for the life of me see what it was.

Have to say I think your attitude stinks. Why not try to understand the mechanics of this network and use it in the manner in which it is intended ? It can be annoying, interesting, boring, funny, helpful and occasionally offensive and contraversial but respect the rules or don't bother being a part of it.

Knowing your previous occupation Peter you surely you didn't think my comment could be personally directed at you;-)

Vic, you can't say that, please edit your post and take this offline.

As an ex Head Greenkeeper I would just like to state that not all of us are 'ass holes', just some of us...

ahahah totally agree with you and I am French , The stare oh yes..we chat in Engliash with my daughter and my husband (he is Scottish) .. many people do not like it..."we are in France YOU MUST SPEAK FRENCH " I stop caring ..;)

I’m a bit challenged in that area myself.

Did I John....blimey...will have to watch out for that in future ;-)

I’m glad you agree with me Carol.

Try Grand Frais or Super U. In Charente, at least, they seem to be customer-friendly.

I think when it's just a POM, the "M" stands for "Mother England".... I heard that a good few times on my travels around Australia.

Exactly, but it moved on and that is also phonetic above. Nonetheless, the Barry MacKenzie cartoon that was in Private Eye for years spelled it 'pom' which is the one stuck in my mind.

Dalham: Kirtling in between and then where I lived. Know the place. I'm not from there either really.

Thanks girls, I didn’t do Latin in school.

Correct Vic.
