Oh my, be careful what you ask for - you could live to regret it!

The thread has got a bit of a discussion going, which can’t be bad.
In today’s world some topics such as Gaza and Ukraine are so sensitive that I feel I have to give great consideration to opening discussion of such topics even with friends for fear of being labelled a Putin lover or antisemitic or whatever. Having an open forum such as Survive France allows me to see how many others share my views and how many don’t and gives me a barometer of general opinion on such topics.

That’s good @Jofang. We have to honest with our views, don’t we? While appreciating and being ready to learn from other’s views, I have the luxury, being retired, of not worrying about repercussions for mine. I understand that many don’t have that freedom. Which is a terrible pity.
