Well, at least you will be able to see in the darkā¦
Or glow in the dark
Brings back memoriesā¦ we were a little apprehensive when kids from Chernobyl arrived in our town for some holiday/pamperingā¦ but all was wellā¦ and no, they didnāt glowā¦ '
Someones having a giraffe!
What is the point of posting an edited/AI generated image? Is Survive France under a bot attack?
You need to put a scale on the photo Pam. I donāt think people realise those carrots are a metre long. Stunning value really. As for the 20kg āBoris brandā oven ready rabbits, wonderful for Christmas lunch.
Maybe someoneās misunderstood their own jokeā¦?
No, I know a chĆØre mobile product when I see one Mark
While carrots are good for eye health, even radioactive ones donāt improve your night vision.
All the posters promoting carrots as wonder fuel for your eyes during WW2 were a War Department psyop to conceal that the RAF had mounted the first air to air radar sets in night fighter aircraft and were wreaking havoc on the Luftwaffe in the night skies over Europe.
Indeed - a cunning wheeze - not sure if the Germans were taken in by that one though!
Maybe it also made bomber crews feel a bit more confident on their dangerous missions.
However there is a tiny grain of truth in this myth, as carrots are a good source of vitamin A - and an extreme vitamin A deficiency can lead to blindness.
So it sort of works the other way around!
There were of course lots of disinformation campaigns used in WW2 - most of them not involving carrots!
How does Tesco get away with the āBritish Carrots - grown in Chernobylā description?
Itās a faked image
Just beat me to that response
As pointed out in the link @_Brian posted
I didnāt know it was - oops!
oh dear - took my eye off the ball with that one - fell for it - mind you the world being as it is i would believe pigs can fly now ā¦ ā¦
yes I did although it wasnāt my joke it was posted on FB not the first or last time I have been caught I even thought the photo of the matador crying because he killed the bull was real! one born every minute
We do miss Tescosā¦ for the prices of fruit a vegetables, unbelievable how cheap the produce is compared to here in France, note the price in the background of the photo-19p,i mean it,s a dream,i was there last December and all the veg, parsnips, potatoes, brocolli, carrots etc were all 15p.
Itās come to something if people miss Tesco.
Couldnāt you at least have said Waitrose or Booths ?
As i said,we miss it for the prices, imagine how much your shopping bill would be reduced if you weren,t paying 4ā¬ for a cauliflower or 3ā¬ for a cabbage or 5ā¬ for a small bag of average potatoes!
