Totally agree…![]()
And what if the vaccine kills someone…??? Who should pay the penalty then…???
“number of individuals will mistakenly think drinking the fluid will protect them from infection”
I didn’t expect the President to be one of them though.
| did say that if people have contra indications that they should be exempted.
The time has come for everyone to step up and play their part and I and I am sure others will not stand by and see all this go to nought because of the sensibilities of a minority.
Actually the minority aren’t a problem. As long as sufficient people get vaccinated, a virus can’t spread in the population.
People must be allowed to have moral, religious, or personal objections, otherwise you end up with a police state.
The ones we should go after are people in authority who spread false information. They are the real criminals.
I think basically issue two forms of certificates. One if you have been vaccinated, another if you have a genuine exemption, and restrict access to places , travel etc to people who have a certificate
Neither did I, but there are signs of his having a low IQ. His general knowledge is seriously lacking. He overvalues his “common sense” and distances any potential critics by his bullying domineering manner and grossly misplaced self-confidence. As in “Nobody has ever achieved what I have. I am a stable genius”. He really believes what he says.
But he is clearly good with figures, even if his judgement in managing money is deficient. He is manifestly cunning and ruthless, and in some exceptional circumstances those attributes have great value. On the field of Mars, for example.
A very complex character, but unfitted for high political office.
It’s not just about intelligence,I have known people who are in the lower half of cleverness, but are practical, street wise and sensible. Then you get those who are very clever but cannot cope with the reality and practicality of day to day life and are basically dumb
Neither of those types fits the Orange One @Eddie.
No, they are motivated by emotion, rather than logic.
We need all kinds of people to make a rich and varied society.
They drive me to distraction, but they have the same right to exist as the rest of us.
I didn’t realise that were restricted to only talking about the orange one
I’ve known many supposedly intelligent (by common standards) and well educated people who are complete dumbos.
And in terms of the Orange One, perhaps he has the effect described in 1001 nights…”a splendour that dazed the mind and dumbed the tongue". As in they are silent in the face of his stupidity.
Perhaps all the anti vaccers should be paying the penalty for all the tens of thousands of children that have died or been severely affected by measles because of the campaigns against the vaccine to poorly educated parents in third world countries?
How can you be worried about one dying and yet show no concern for all the poor children dying of measles?
I really don’t know how you sleep at night.
Of course everyone has the right to exist , but we are now in a totally different ball game and I am not prepared to die or to have my family die to suit their susceptibilities.
Personal rights were affected as never before all over the world because of lock-downs and for the most part, that was accepted because people now know that this is a virus that not only kills but leaves people with severe life changing symptoms.
So does alcohol, tobacco, sugar, factory food, motor vehicles and many other things that are part of our daily lives.
Legislate for one and I will demand legislation for the rest.
You cannot compare a sudden severe illness that is affecting both world health and economies with the way of life, be it unhealthy.
Food items containing excess sugar and salt have been banned and manufacturers are now going to show just how much of these items are in their pre-pepared foods and maybe the total calorie count.
We are also in the midst of a campaign to stop global warming so we are are all going to have to change the type of vehicles we drive.
In many countries the sale of alcohol was banned during lock-down.
People affected by the things you name ‘ choose ‘ to use those things, they don’t choose to be affected by a virulent virus
Howdid you arrive at that conclusion?
People don’t choose to breathe diesel fumes or be killed by drunk drivers. Children don’t choose to breathe second-hand smoke, or eat junk food because parents don’t know how to cook.
But one thing is certain. In every case, somebody, somewhere is making a profit.
it’s called «the economy» ![]()
In most of those cases someone has made a choice,I did use the ‘ ‘ to indicate that it wasn’t straight forward,
