Le Pen polling figures

Ah Ha!
I confess that I did not realise that you were being sarcastic with the “no go” comment.

Are people here concerned that a Le Pen win would threaten their status / ability to live in France? Taking away family visas/ citizenship routes etc. these sort of policies are a central part of her manifesto aren’t they?

Personally I doubt that Le Pen would take away existing rights for already resident white people.

Would she make it harder for new immigrants? I think so, for some more than others.

Would the whole country change in other too? I think so.
Racism seems to be more open in the UK now because of the rise of the right. Attitudes and tolerance (or lack of it) towards others move as a wave in society. A Le Pen victory would augment the wave that is across much of the world today.

Apart from the immediate changes, a RN win would shift the centre of gravity of France as a whole and even Europe as a whole.

Other points of view are available!

Just keep on dinking the wine. Don’t worry, be happy! I’ve heard that the Pope is also running!

It’s never a good idea to make personal remarks or be condescending. It doesn’t invite good will. Put those claws back and try to be nice.

?? I’m at a loss to understand your last remark Ingrid1. And you still haven’t mentioned what is your connection to France? Given that this is a forum focusing on residents in France or others with connections here.

I live in Antibes, France.

Read the thread.

I’m sure we could all learn a lot from you.

Oh stop it! Your rudeness is quite unnecessary! Stop it. Put thos claws away

Hmm, perhaps.

I’ve read all of your posts and I didn’t see Antibes mentioned until this post.

Oh dear #2

@INGRID1 , you’re still finding your feet here. Maybe be a bit more self-aware and a little slower to take offence?

And Porridge continues with the insults. Frankly at this point id say F**k off

Le Pen still comfortably ahead. Neither her support nor Mélenchon’s has been affected by the riots.

I got banned for that!!!

To flag or not to flag… Anyone?

Well, I can see it anyway.

Could everyone calm down and be polite please.

I must admit, I’m finding @INGRID1 a breath of fresh air! She’s like that person who arrives at the dinner party three bottles in, silences the room by launching into a tirade of truth bombs saying what we’re all thinking but are too polite to say, grabs some food off a plate using her hands, snatches a bottle off the table and disappears into the night, leaving the rest of us horrified, but quietly in awe…

Respect for where you’re coming from - article 50 TUE CDS holders, CDS holders of EU family member cards, etc, it’s just some holders of these titres de sejour (I know from Kim’s thread) are not what one might call ‘white’, you aren’t suggesting she will try to dismantle these existing rights on the basis of perceived skin colour. Instead a slight slip of the tongue ?

Or she will indeed (seek to) take away existing rights for already resident ‘non-white’ people?

You mean not housetrsined?
