Linky just installed Aug 7 and now no hot water!

Hello SFers! My LINKY device was installed Fri at noon, and I now have no hot water. Unfortunately, I have no technical skills to fool with circuit breakers etc and no manual for water heater (am tenant). Hoping it’s an easy fix so not to bother landlady. And of course it’s happened during the mass exodus in France. Can’t contact company that installed Linky til Monday.

Any suggestions? Anybody else have the same experience? Thanks in advance.

Have you power to other circuits? Take a look at the main board, any breaker tripped

yes power everywhere else. None of breakers tripped. Unfortunately can’t identify which one is tied to water heater either.

Well now i dont have electricity at all! Yikes! Pushed red button on main board. No idea wat to do now!?

Where’s your Linky? There is probabky a reset button/switch beside it. Flip it up :slightly_smiling_face:

Was that the test button for the RCD? If so the switch should have moved to about halfway between off and on - turn it fully off and back on again.

Send us a photo of your main dis board (tableau électrique)

In cave. I’ll go look again for switch. Is there a way to attach photos here?

Circuled in yellow

red button on bottom did me in : ( No power at all.

I would call Enedis :confused:

If I depress the red button again, nothing happens. Same with white button on left. Black button above red doesn’t move at all.

Is that a black button above it? What’s the little white button thinging on the left?

@Badger Help :slightly_frowning_face:

Push harder :slightly_smiling_face: it may be spring loaded.

That must have an emergency number, do you know it?

Yes, Both black and white buttons do nothing when I press them

The problem is probably caused by the Linky meter, not the electrical panel. Last spring, I had a power outage because a swarm of ants had attacked my Linky meter (which is outside). It happened in the middle of the night; I called Enedis right away, and a technician came by the next day at 8 a.m. to replace my meter.
