Anyone remember Pennies from Heaven with Bob Hoskins? A frustrated sheet music salesman in a love/drama/adult fantasy on BBC TV, interspersed with 1930s songs & music.
Unusual and different for the times and which completely captivated me back then. This is but one musical episode down memory laneā¦lasting more than 1 hour! I found it quite moving.

I loved this series
After Iād seen the series, back in the 70s I think, I bought the Pennies from Heaven LP, which I unearthed, with other old forgotten LPs, from underneath a pile of dust while tidying up. Googled it and am now going to watch the whole series again, on SF! Thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 episodes so far.
