Isn’t ‘keeping it up’ a feature of tantric high jinks?:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Uvula…??? I spent my third pregnancy in hospital from 22 weeks…I had pre-eclampsia with my first and full blown eclampsia with my second…resulting in multi-organ failure and a near death experience…5 years later during my third pregnancy they said they may have to abort my son to save me but as it turned out all he had was a bifid uvula…my girls 3 and 5 didn’t much like him at all for the first couple of years because I had to spend months in hospital (22 weeks to 38 weeks)…they love him to bits now but they still bring it up during arguments…! :grinning:

That’s what she meant ,I will never forget her much more worldly friend and myself shouting very loudly ‘It’s not your vulva’

Intriguing discussion ladies.

Does anyone admit to drinking Le Piat d’Or ? Remember the jingle - “The Frech adore the Piat d’Or”.
And Xmas time had to include Warninks Advocaat, some bright spark came up with a ready mixed Snowball in a small bottle.

Don’t forget Egg Flip ,Blue Nun and my favourite Blue Bols

I had Blue Bols once…I think it was due to a rapid drop in temperature

What was that wine with a really nice shaped bottle…??? Quite wide at the bottom…??? I used to put candles in the empty bottle…:slightly_smiling_face:

Yes my mom and dad always had warninks advoccat at Crimbo…and made their own snowballs with lemonade and lime juice if I remember correctly…delicious when we were old enough to be allowed one…:slightly_smiling_face:

My dad liked a glennfiddich whiskey and ginger…later my mom liked a baileys at Christmas…

My mum liked a drop of whisky from time to time but loved Baileys at Crimbo.

Xmas was also the time for topping up the sherry, my parents always had a selection like Emva and Harveys BC etc We also ended up with a tin barrel of Watneys Pale Ale or similar. I suppose there must have been about five pnts in each can ?

Do you mean Mateus Rose

Harvey’s Bristol Cream yes I remember that one… ! My Great Aunt (from Scotland) always had Harvey’s at Crimbo…she was 103 when she died sitting up in bed doing a cryptic crossword puzzle…

I remember raiding the cinzano one Crimbo when I was about 13 and my mom and dad were at a Christmas ballroom dance…I’ve never drank cinzano since…lol…:grinning:

Sherry is having a bit of a renaissance in the UK at the moment

That’s the one I was trying to recall Mary…the first bottle of wine I ever shared with my first boyfriend…the original artefact may even still be in my mom and dad’s attic complete with dried wax from the candle…:slightly_smiling_face:

I’m partial to a Snowball at Christmas Peter, the ready made ones in the bottle were a poor substitute in my opinion. Two bottles of Warninks are always in the Christmas consignment of ‘goodies’ brought over to France each year. I even have the original Snowball glasses if you please…
