Merci mes amis.

It’s a full top plate, but I only need to keep it in for a week or less, to protect the site until it heals.

Even that is more than I could bear, the full plate blocked all taste but didn’t stop particles getting behind it.

You could get a pill splitter from the pharmacy and cut them into smaller more easy pieces

You could try the soluble ones, easy to get in the pharmacies.

Yoga is an expensive pastime…

Last month when my wife was on her way to yoga a wooden post apparently leapt out in front of our car and ripped off the front nearside door handle . This morning a car was parked outside the yoga class and for some reason our reversing radar failed to detect it.

Subsequently at chez nous there followed a gentle enquiry:-

“What’s the damage?” “Oh, it’s nothing, well not as bad as last time.”
“And the other car?” “I think it’s just a scratch, but Mira (yoga teacher) said it looks ‘really bad.’”

At this point enquiry abandoned due to lack of evidence…

Thankfully ours just had a tiny paint chip on the rear (€18.95 colour matched touch-up pen, ordered tout de suite) but when the other car’s owner visited this afternoon, I saw his dented driver’s door and reckon it’ll be around €1000 to repair.

A bit more than a ‘scratch’, but far from ‘really bad.’"

Thanks for the suggestions regarding paracetamol consumption. Techniques are improving, and I’ve managed to get them down just this evening without any refusals or going sideways. Soluble versions would have been a good start, but we didn’t have them in stock.

Hope eating real food (not bread and soup) is better tomorrow. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I find the larger pills are easier to swallow, just ease them to the back of the tongue and then get a big swig of water. My evening dosage includes a small pill which has to be cut into 2, that tiny half pill is the most difficult of all the 7 and a half I take each day.

Bon rétablissement, AM.

When will you get the results AM?

Sometime. Probably sooner if they are serious, likely later if not. It’s highly likely to just be a blocked salivary gland rather than anything more serious, thanks for asking.

Wishing you well. Anything to do with mouth or feet is the worst thing for pain as there are so many nerves.

Got home from the dentist to find the kitchen floor was awash with clear liquid, which smelt a little alcoholic.

A bottle of wine had popped its cork. Don’t know how old it was - it was a gift - but it still looked a bit bubbly when I stood the bottle upright.

Hope your tongue is not sore from all the mopping up.

I suspect the cat had a go. He was sick shortly afterwards.

Local Brico sheds have been closed for 3 days, both of them, no explanation, website says open…..

Employers have a responsibility for their employees, so if too hot then can’t ask them to work? Our Bricopro was open, but also on the map as place of refuge for hot old people!
