Given just how slowly the security bods removed Trump, the fact that the whole thing was restarted after (did they really have time to completely re-sweep the space to make sure the shooter had not left a surprise present behind?) and the fact that a speech seemed to have been prepared for Trump to read awfully quickly I am not surprised that there is speculation.

So Trump has started another case against James Comey, ex-FBI. For posting (and deleting not long afterwards) a photo of seashells on a beach that read ‘86 47’. This sounds crazier than the last case.

Lawrence O’Donnell of MS NOW said that if Comey’s posting of shell numbers 86 & 47 side by side means what Trump thinks it means, then NFL players with number 86 and 47, standing side by side in a stadium, for example, should watch out!
Great news for someone like me who doesn’t really like America.
If I were defending the first thing I would argue is that they weren’t numbers but just an abstract arrangement of shells that Comey thought was cute. He was walking on the beach, he said. Perhaps he approached it from the other side and it read Lh98. Plenty of ways to introduce reasonable doubt here.
