Do you prepare/size and print the photo?
Good question Lily - I don’t have a printer large enough for what l need so rely on the local print shops - fingers burnt a couple of times on price v quality but found one in the local commercial centre that does deals on larger prints - 60x40, 80x60 - 20% off for 4 prints- and the quality is excellent. But that depends, of course on the quality of the original pic and whether it can stand the enlargement. My shop blows them up on his large computer screen so l can see whether or not they keep focus, colour and detail.
In terms of size l select the size of frame and the cardboard mount l want and then work with the shop on the final print. We find it very satisfying to frame our own art and photos.
Currently saving up for some even bigger prints 100x70.
