My friends in Spain wouldn’t listen to me…
I told 'em last time… don’t bother clearing it up, why waste valuable quaffing time…
Now they’re wondering why they made such a grand effort.
My car is absolutely filthy after the last lot, so quite pleased I haven’t washed it yet😉
It’s coming back !.. (surely there won’t be much sand left in the sahara after all these storms?)
Another point of view…
The Sahara Sand is back again, in a big way… take care.
I don’t mind, love the idea of the sand on the car being from the Sahara - it’s a lovely reminder of how close we are to the Med and the Maghreb.
Sometime in the late Sixties, I was on holiday with my parents in SW Ireland, when there was a similar meteorological phenomenon and I remember going into the bathroom in the morning and seeing the shower curtain covered in large and very exotic butterflies. Sadly, as the normal grey Irish weather resumed they all withered and died.
Fair enough for you… it’s dangerous to health for many people…
EDIT: Thankfully, the article explains why they are warning folk about this sand… it’s not just a case of getting grit in ones underpants or even in the picnic basket… it is damaging to health…
Hence the Warning.
it’s dangerous to health for many people…
‘Many’?
Is such an occasional occurrence worse than the unspoken of cumulative dangers of air pollution that are forever present in many places?
I think Stella’s edit explains the danger
In all fairness, I’m not due any credit… the article itself explains the danger…
