  1. For things to go in your home what colours do you like or not like?

Pink, purple, grey, teal. No reds, oranges or yellows. Natural wood, pretty glass things.

  1. For wearables what colours do you like or not like?

Pink, purple, grey, teal, blue (not electric blue though!). No yellow, red, orange.

  1. For foody gifts is there anything that you love / hate or allergies?

No allergies. Love chocolate (but not white). Don’t like dried fruit on its own or in things.

  1. Do you have any hobbies that may help your Santa with ideas?

Crochet, gardening, cooking, drinking coffee and wine

  1. Are there things you can share with your Santa to help with ideas?

I don’t use candles much but love natural ones, I don’t like smelly things that are artificial (love essential oil things), I adore Christmas decorations (not modern modern silly colours), I love handmade things if you are crafty

I can pick up mondial relay in the village, actually all the obvious are good for me, either pick up in the village or delivery.

No plastic! Nothing from Amazon

No artificial anything

Probably nothing food or drink as we are peculiar

If under 3cm fat postage cheaper as can be letter post not parcel post

Ideas for my Santa include:

Things for the home:

  • Digital cooking thermometer

  • Pepper mill (plus a salt mill if the combined price doesn’t exceed 15€)

  • Cherry/olive pitter

  • Scented candles for front room (not necessary to be in glass jars). Prefer perfumes like rose, jasmine and lavender. Do not like fruit smellies like apple/orange/cinnamon

Wearables:

  • Extra long scarf to wear when going out - Autumn colours like russet/brown/gold/olive green/beige/orange. If a wool one is too expensive then synthetic is OK

Personal:

  • Day and/or night face cream for dry skin e.g. from Lidl (Cien brand) or L’Oreal

Hobby items:

  • English Puzzle books e.g. The Puzzler Collection/Wordsearch/Codeword. NOT Sudoku, logic puzzles or cryptic crosswords

  • Packets of flower seeds especially Wallflower/Sweet Pea/Cornflower/Scabious/Osteospurnum.

Delivery to home would be preferred as we are home most days to receive the post.

Well I’m in - here you go:

  1. For things to go in your home what colours do you like or not like? Blue / duck egg blue / teal / sludgy 1930’s green / white
  2. For wearables what colours do you like or not like? As above minus the white - doesn’t work with country life! I’m quite boring.. quite like dark green to wear too!
  3. For foody gifts is there anything that you love / hate or allergies? I love everything but no biscuits etc please as gluten intolerant and GF biscuits don’t cut it! I am actually allergic to petit pois and mussels so no tins of peas please….
  4. Do you have any hobbies that may help your Santa with ideas? Horses, horses and more horses. Oh and horses. But no model ceramic horses to put on the mantelpiece like your gran had in the 1970’s please!
  5. Are there things you can share with your Santa to help with ideas? Example: I adore non synthetic candles, nice tea towels, I hate puzzles of any description and I need a new beanie (wooly hat for those if you not from Oz!). Love anything that smells natural esp jasmine / lily / gardenia and rose scents - candles / soap etc etc
  6. Post is obviously a hot topic in France with prices and access to various options varying widely. Please state any companies that work or don’t work for you (eg can’t access mondial relay, delivery to house only, please don’t send with XYZ as they throw parcels in my garden). Fine with all delivery options!
