OK I’m definitely in for this, barring accidents - I’ve moved my ferry crossing a day earlier so as to give me a day off between riding down from Dieppe to Charente and the outing to Bordeaux.

I shall come on the motorbike unless the weather forecast is really bad, in which case it’ll be a train from Ruffec…

Yes I’m staying in a gite in Chassiecq which is just south of Champagne-Mouton. Sorry to hear you’re not going to be able to come to the GTG, but I wish you bon rétablissement when you’ve had your op!

Two years ago I rented a gite in Genouillé (which unfortunately wasn’t available this year) which is just round the corner from Civray - I got quite familiar with the Super U on Rue de la Pierre du Theil!

Somewhere in the Poitiers-Limoges-Angouleme triangle is currently in pole position on my “retire to” list…

With different timing you’d have been welcome to stay at ours as we have a little attached studio and plenty of garage space. Next time.

So I’ve looked and it is a Wednesday so in theory I can just tell the CFA I’m not available that day do should be able to come. I think hubby may want to come too but we’ll need to find someone to look after the short person! Will confirm when I can!

Are you thinking ahead about booking parking for a large RV in central Bordeaux? :wink:

Not at all. There are many sites within 30 minutes of Bordeaux where we can pitch up and then drive into town in the Smart car which I can park on a sixpence, and the crit-air sticker displays 1 :laughing:

Just catching up with all the posts and finally saw this - great idea - I’m due to be away on the planned date but if anything changes it would be great to join and meet some of the other SFers!

Only 1 month to the SF gathering.
From my past I know only too well the hard work that goes into arranging dinners and similar events, hats off to @cat @james.
Any clues for the venue yet?

Would love to make it but transport will be hard to make work this year. If there’s any next year ? :slight_smile:
