My partner had those (though they didn’t cost that then). They are very comfortable.
‘had’ is suddenly worrying - if I’ve a decent pair of shoes, I expect them to last for ten to fifteen years, with US Sebago/ Bass loafers and suede Italian ones excepted (with these two resolings seems the max).
he literally wore them out. It took many years. They were the shoes he went dancing in (social dance evenings, not competitions where different type of shoe is used).
