Song for Dominic Cummings

Well, what do you expect when Attorney General Braverman is a useless cretin in an equally useless Govt of no-marks?

Judging by your profile photograph you don’t have the right to vote

No, seriously - we use proper photographs of ourselves on here, so how about changing yours?

Allowing him the excuse of a congenitial deficiency might be over generous!

And kinder not to involve people with congenital handicaps as comparators with clueless politicians of any gender or persuasion? :hugs:

PS cretinism (an obsolete medical term) is not inherited, it’s hormonal, the result of maternal iodine deficiency. Sorry to be a tad pedantic

Whoops! Braverwoman.

This affair began as a health issue. It became political when Cummings -unlike the scientific advisors - refused not only to resign but incredibly to deny any wrongdoing. There is a long tradition in politics of people caught with their pants down resigning or being sacked. Even if Cummings admitted some culpability the heat would ease but he has given the country the ‘finger’. Any ‘bypass’ is more the wearing of blinkers and earplugs by those who choose to accept Cummings fantasy for their own partisan reasons.

It was 71% (typo by Geof, perhaps).

Oops.

Don’t call me a lefty I am very central

Is he though, I thought he was just a freelance adviser much like Alastair Campbell?

Oh dear - classic deflection, when shown that you are wrong on the figures, move the attack to claim “it doesn’t matter anyway” - have you been taking notes from Farage as he does this quite a bit.

The fact is that Cummings broke the letter (even if he can squirm through a loophole) and the point of the lockdown by driving from London to Durham while symptomatic and the majority of the public can see through the carefully constructed denials.

Cummings is not a Civil Servant - either in fact1 or in the way he persues his role.

He is one of the prime architects of this mess and Johnson keeps him around because without him he would be totally rudderless.

1] OK, technically spads are "temporary civil servants" but they are still a totally different class of animal to a career civil servant.

I’m not sure that is correct… he is a political strategist employed by the Conservative party and IIRC not a civil servant.
see here.
One thing is certain though - he can in no way be described as “civil” :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh dear - it’s not just the left it also includes those from the Conservative party too (including Conservative MPs) and across the political spectrum including from outside the UK.
“there are none as blind as them that cannot see” (past the end of their nose)
Would you like a spade?

Hi Jess… perhaps you would edit your post to be a little less agressive…

cheers

and change her photo as requested earlier by @vero?

Not a helpful tone to take, I think. It is too easy to label people with political labels which may not even have any meaning for them especially if they can no longer vote in the UK.

Just seen the photograph, I assume that you think it is a joke, I actually think it is more like a rude, childish gesture at the rest of the forum users.
