As I understand it, the reasoning behind the Speed Control and the Black Box is that 1/3 of road accidents are caused by speed infringements… and folk reckon it’s about time something was done within the car itself to try and reduce same…
and, of course, the BB will provide data much the same as after an aircrash…
Yes but not by 5-10km’s over the limit, a point I have always stuck to. They do not differentiate between that small infringement and traveling at twice the limit. So is thw world of insurance.
Same with drink driving, the accidents are people 2+ x over the limit not a tiny infringement.
