Le feu progresse très rapidement. Une trentaine d’hectares a brûlé sur Taradeau.
Le feu a sauté en direction de la commune des Arcs et a déjà brûlé 60 ha.
Le préfet du Var a activé le centre opérationnel départemental à la préfecture et un poste de commandement opérationnel a été mis en place aux Arcs.
Dans les deux communes, les plans communaux de sauvegarde sont activés.
Aux Arcs, le maire a demandé l’évacuation des quartiers château Saint-Pierre, Font du loup et plateau des Aires.
220 sapeurs(-pompiers sont à pied d’œuvre avec une centaine d’engins appuyés par 2 canadairs, 3 hélicoptères bombardiers d’eau et un DASH.
Fermeture de la RD 57, de la RD 555 et de la RD73.

Two boxes of paperwork by the door just in case. Photos of all the rooms for the insurance claim. Medicine and few clothes packed.
Just need to grab the laptops and couple of paintings and we’d be out the door.

I still think it is going away from us, but several friends who have been here for generations have called and said better to be safe than sorry. Plus I don’t want a knock on the door in the middle of the night if the winds changes, so we’re heading to a hotel for the night. Seems a bit dramatic but after what’s happened in Spain I think it makes sense.

Not dramatic at all, you’ll be a few less people for the firefighters to worry about and hopefully you’ll be able to return tomorrow.
Put a note on your door to tell them if they knock and get no response they may break down the door.
