Trump's won, the West is goosed ☹️

Hopefully Jane.

Can you name one policy they disagreed with Fleur? I can’t. Biden’s economic policies were successful, which Trump supporters couldn’t understand. Biden wasn’t responsible for inflation, which Trump supporters couldn’t understand, likewise interest rates. So what Biden policies does Trump have better alternatives for? It’s a mystery to me.

Blue Colour Americans have spent the last 5 years watching the price of everything climb like a mountain goat on meth.

They voted for the person that promised to reverse this.

It really is that simple.

“it’s the economy, stupid” Jim Carville, 1992.

Let’s see what deporting the cheap (undocumented) labour and introducing tariffs does for their cost of living.

I think that they are about to find out the hard way that it really isn’t that simple.

Would that be grovelling? One can live in hope they might actually be scared of the Don.

Imagine being American and telling your mother, wife, sister or daughter that you voted Trump because cheap gas was more important than their rights :man_facepalming:

Isn’t that what his supporters call Trump?

Best news ever. Get the parasites lefties out of power.

The former UK ambassador to Washington Nigel Sheinwald gave a less optimistic account of the UK government’s views of the four years ahead, telling the BBC: “The rest of the world is entitled to feel a great deal of apprehension [about Trump]. Not everywhere in the world. In Israel, in Russia, in North Korea, there will no doubt be hats being thrown in the air. Most of America’s allies in the world will be feeling extremely apprehensive.”

Idiotic statement. Analysis has shown a massive Republican vote from 2nd gen Immigrants

And the rightwing fascists in Gregors, doesn’t sound much like progress to me🤭

Anyway, what are you doing living in a socialist paradise like France?

What do you predict for the markets when they open later today?

Well, it’ll be a bit of compensation for well of lefties, what one looses on the social justice front one makes up in filthy lucre. Don’t ya know :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

So, a simple question but you choose a garbled reply.

I realise you find it painful to be wrong on so many levels.

Telling the kids and the grandkids their futures in a hostile climate were unimportant

I agree. Which is why I have thought all along the Democratic platform was appalling.

Oh dear…

You’re clearly not worried about the parasite big business lobbies that will now benefit from “drill baby, drill!” & removal of the advances made by the Inflation Reduction Act.

The media in general is not yet flagging up what a tragedy this result will be for the environment. Harris’s concern for green issues should have been enough to swing the result her way, but the USA seems to have a majority of very selfish electors.

Hindsight is a wonderful science. People were fed lies over Brexit. The US has been fed lies by Trump - but they still will go for the simple message.
I think the political class in the US is appalling in their arrogance and sense of superiority - their cleverness, their condescension to people ill educated and out of work. They have handed their country on a plate to Trump and learnt nothing while Biden was in power.

Apart from the apalling situation in general from this win for Trump, we are in the middle of selling our house pending a move to France. Is there going to be an exodus of US citizens to Europe and will France make it more difficult to enter?
