Have you looked ar the guide from impôts about this?
They also have an email address so can ask directly.
Cat can correct me if I’m wrong but Blevins Frank are a wealth management company, so offer services to clients rather than ad hoc advice.
QUOTE: “Tom’s based in France and is one of the partners at Blevins Franks, providing tax and financial planning to French residents or people planning a move here. His role is to help you understand the French tax system and organise your affairs (succession / inheritance / income and capital gains tax / investments and pensions etc) to comply with and optimise, French tax rules.”
I reckon he will know how to complete the tax/ inheritance forms
it seemed worth @Salma having a word
@Salma can you let us know what you think… how you get on ???
I have looked at the guides on the impôts site, but as the deceased was exclusively based in the UK, much of the French terminology doesn’t seem to apply.
I have contacted the impôts too, but no reply yet. Also, contacted one of the ‘expat’ tax/investment advisors. But alas, no help ; they can advise me on where to invest the inheritance but first I have to get confirmation from the French side that there is no tax due, thanks to the double taxation treaty.
