I don’t know about you but as soon as the sun comes out I find it much easier to get going first thing in the morning and crack on with the day!
We spent the weekend gardening and planted the most enormous quantity of potatoes.
Now I’m at my desk and cracking on with my enormously long admin list.
And trying not to be lured outside into the garden…
What are you all up to this week ? Hope it is nice things…!
Semi-nice… ![]()
Today I am finishing up the photo edit on last Sunday’s wedding - 3000 images shot have been reduced down to 800-odd and colour-corrected, and now I have to make the slide-show and online gallery.
After that I start the edit on a promo video that I filmed last Tuesday for a business coach.
Wednesday morning I have some lawyers to photograph in Guildford, Thursday morning off to the dentist to have a tooth out, and Friday morning business networking.
I’m also hoping for a clear night or two this week so I can get to grips with my new telescope - it has a complicated auto-guiding mount (so it can find celestial objects for you) which has to be aligned with the Pole Star to work properly, and that’s the bit that I haven’t got figured out yet!
Do tell me what you bought. As for aligning the auto guiding mount, you don’t really need to do it manually like the mount manuals suggest. You can if you want but it’s easy to do if you connect a computer with the appropriate software. Balancing the mount is very important and that has to be done manually.
Edit: Sorry to hijack your thread @cat
I’ll start a new thread, as no doubt this could get technical ! ![]()
packing up in London ready to return home tomorrow on Le Shuttle after working at Chelsea Flower Show on 3 gardens; its been a mad time and cant wait to get home and have a rest !..flying back next weekend for a day to ‘break down’ our builds.
You could put the discussion here
Too late - thread started.
Wow! Lucky you. Hope you had a moment to spare to look at what others were doing. ![]()
That sounds like a lot of fun, albeit very hard work!
Continuing the garden theme, I have just planted (is that the right word?) 1000 seeds for creaping thyme. Now off to pick up some lemon balm plants.
First day back at work after a two week holiday. Really having trouble concentrating on work stuff.
You should planning the next escape now, work later ![]()
Yes; most of the designers are friends now after 30 years working in that field ! - no pun intended…
yes, it was great fun; such a great bunch of ‘nutty’ people who all share the same passions.
Hope it wsnt the prison garden ![]()
I was hoping to be setting up stability programs for some of the products we make, but after lunch I became very dizzy and then sick (last time was 1988!) and presently sat at home having left the car at work. Not sure what tomorrow will hold yet.
I’ve got another photo-zine to put together if possible. Wednesday playing at a friends 70th birthday celebration, Thursday French lesson and Friday a day of consultancy.
Bon rétablissement
This week mainly trying to make a suitable space for my disabled brother (sleeping, bathroom etc) so he doesn’t have to use stairs. Then got to get stuff ready for the grandkids next week (building the trampoline
).
A few weeks ago I did something I’d never done before - I fainted!! very disconcerting ![]()
