How much coverage has this had in the media?
I’m sorry, but if you believe that about coverage of who was in the Conservative government, who was PM — and, most recently, who has jumped ship to Reform — you’re deluding yourself in a way most unlike you. The endless Tory leadership psychodramas following Johnson were meat and drink to the Press, as is right and proper.
Would you prefer a Press that kept quiet about Burnham’s ambition to replace the Prime Minister, and his manoeuvring to do so? That’s not the kind of country I’d want to live in.
I don’t expect the media to ignore Andy Burnham. I also don’t expect them to make it a lengthy top story when so many dreadful events are occurring across the world.

I was perhaps a touch too broad brush but the point is that things had to get to a point where the press could no longer turn a blind eye to the goings on and, initially, the coverage was in the Mirror and ignored by the rest.
Coverage of a series of entirely unserious prime ministers, and the fall out from them, is really quite different from the absolutely endless sniping at those from the left.
Consider Farage as a case in point. If he was on the left he would be hounded night and day about his money-making activities, the payments from lobbying groups and his property purchases. What do we actually get? Crickets.

TBH I don’t recognise the Tories getting a free ride, but they did manage their interviews much better.
Farage does get an unaccountable amount of free press that’s favourable though.
Starmer promised “grown up” politics free of sleaze and drama when taking office, instead we’ve had the “freebies”, the sacking of a minister for not declaring a conviction, the resignation of his deputy over her Stamp Duty mistake, an apology from the Chancellor for non getting a landlord’s licence, constant policy U-turns and now blocking Andy Burnham.
The positive policies that will make a difference long term will get lost when the media have the above to feast on.

Is the fact that Polanski is largely ignored due to no-one taking the Greens seriously any more? They recently announced their candidate for the Gorton and Denton by-election, and it’s exactly the sort of person I’d expect from the current Greens.
Mind you, I went off the Greens when they wanted to decriminalise cannabis.

Anyone else remember that time Laura Keunssberg was interviewed live on TV, during an election day, and said how the postal votes were “looking grim” for the Tories… Oh, wait.

This YouGov survey result is almost 10 years old now, I wonder if people’s perceptions have changed since…
Do you think the 12% who think the Daily Mail is in any way leftwing have ever read it? 
I suspect they’re like the people who tell you the BBC is a hotbed of Right-wing journalists!
Going the the other way how on earth do 5% think that the Guardian is very right wing?
I suspect a lack of knowledge about the subject being surveyed, which kind of underlines what nonsense a lot of these polls are.
