We installed air conditioners last year, best investment ever made. So, we stay inside a lot during hot days. We also bring down the shades or close volets on the east side in the morning, and then switch to closing them on the west side in the afternoon. As a result, we haven’t had any discomfort at all. Btw, we don’t keep the air conditioning running constantly. I often am able to wait until 2 or 3 pm before turning one on, and the downstairs one is turned off during the night. We have a second one in the bedroom, upstairs, for overnight, hurrah.

I am really angry at climate deniers, they are obviously naïve idiots. We were fine for the first 15 years here in France, no need for air conditioning at all.

Windows open at night, closed during the day does the job, in our old stone (meter thick walls) place, never uncomfortable inside :slightly_smiling_face:

What type of our conditioning?
We may do the same for next year.
