Who’s got snow?!

We have!! Albeit a very light dusting but then we are on the coast. I don’t think we’ll be making snowmen anytime soon but more is forecast for tomorrow so watch this space.

Stay warm and safe everyone - it’s nippy out there!

A very small amount near La Roche-Posay. I have to take the bus and then train tomorrow to Poitiers for a medical appointment. Really hoping that I can make it there and back.

We haven’t got snow (although we did have it on Christmas Day) but for the past 4 days we have had a VERY hard frost. The outside temperature hasn’t risen above 3c with a night-time temperature of between -3c and -6c. Fortunately it’s a bit warmer indoors - currently 26.3c.

15cm of snow overnight here in Seine Maritime. And it’s continuing to snow quite heavily…this is unusual for this part of coastal Normandy.

About 5 - 10 cm in lower Manche, but we’re just over 300 m here.

We have plenty, and around -10 this morning. And my best gloves have just collapsed.

But so pleased we left a bit of heat in Normandy house despite everyone saying it wasn’t necessary!

Only another month to get through our wood stack here so are well toasty.

Nothing but sunshine and plus figures down here but lots of snow on the Pyrénées, their best ski season for many years but the family who have been up skiing four times since xmas said it was treacherous on the high roads, glad they didn’t ask me to go up there as I hate snow

Stopped snowing now but due to freeze again tonight. I’ve managed to defer my medical appointment in Avranches tomorrow morning.

Love these updates on current weather situation; how about, though, giving us non-snow bods a rough idea of ‘where’ you are writing about…pretty please !

Drove through snow on Saturday in Seine Maritime but none with us in Dordogne. This morning was -9c both at home and when I arrived at work in Bergerac :cold_face::cold_face::cold_face: . Apparently some maybe up north 24 tonight @Stella and @David_Spardo may be lucky! :snowman_without_snow::snowflake::snowman_without_snow:

We’re in North Deux Sevres - 15km from Parthenay. Still very cold - some parts of the garden are still frosty where the sun hasn’t managed to melt the frost. We’re due for -5c tonight and tomorrow and during the day it should reach the dizzy heights of 2c.

Does anyone remember last year’s canicule !!

It’s -8 C here in the black mountains at midnight. Probably be about -10 or so at dawn. May go for a walk in the morning, so will need my long johns and my polar hat and gloves … on top of what I normally wear of course
