A friend recommended Kronenbourg 0%. It’s okay but not great.
I realise that there may be no such thing as a good zero-alcohol beer, but I thought I’d ask for your suggestions.

Guinness zero, absolutely amazing.
2nd best, Adnams Ghost ship
I should have added, available in France
Though our SuperU does normal Guinness.
Another vote for Ghost Ship, but hard (impossible? ) to get in France. Also Birra Moretti alcohol free for an Italien flavour.
I love most IPAs - I don’t think the French do it as well as the UK - and I’ve a fond memory of a pint of GS in the garden of a pub in Northumberland with a mate.
I’ll look out for Moretti - ta
Son in law doesn’t drink alcohol anymore due to stomach problems and speaks highly of both La Goudale and Leffe 0.0% offerings.
There’s some good US IPA around here - Rodez/Figeac quite a few bars have Lagunitas on draft which is excellent. Presumably brewed under licence.
Re alco free, Kronenbourg is good value (in 33cl cans - the 25cl bottles are too small and poor value. Goudale do an alcohol free beer which is easy to find in Intermarchés
Ask them to stock the zero? I only have 16 cans with me this trip
I’m not so keen on the US-style overly happy brews but I had a nice Jack Beer IPA in Angoulême on Friday. Air
Quite pleasant and brewed in Cognac.
Leffe, Goudale, 1664, Afligan, Guinness and several others do Zero versions. All are surprisingly good.
The trick is drink them cold. 33cl bottles are better, and don’t expect to drink pint for pint with ‘ya mates’. Pints of warm zero’s will put you off them for life.
For me, they’re a game-changer.
That’ll be your Celtic blood. Sorry.
They do Jack beer at our local, so I’ll give it a try, ta.
I’m going to leave that typo, it’s somewhat appropriate
I would tend to drink some of the low-alcohol ciders, rather than a no-alcohol beer, out of preference.
I really like the alcoholic Birra Moretti. We find somewhere in Angoulême that sells it, but it’s 4€ per bottle. It’s nice, but that’s a bit steep.
If anyone knows any French retailers that stock it, please let me know.
Any relation to wine house Amy?
I have been drinking the stuff since its inception although I often just elect for a Perrier instead. That is possibly because I was never a great beer drinker anyway.
My personal preference is either Leffe (Blonde or Ruby), Affligen or Peroni. Imho the worst are possibly Corona and Heineken which is unfortunate because many restaurants only offer the latter as they receive their stock from ‘France Boissons’.
Bit rude
Okay…just Heineken then.
I’ve become fairly fond of Guinness 0%, at least when I’m in Ireland, as I don’t seem to be able to find it much around here in France. Other than that, have also had 0% Franziskaner Weissbier - not bad, but still lacking what the alcohol must bring to the mixture in terms of taste response in relation to alcohol soluble components which no longer volatilise in the mouth.
I’ve seen Guinness Zero in the larger Intermarchés down here in 47/82.
