Zero-alcohol beer

It doesn’t seem to have reached 63 yet ! Will have a look at lunchtime in Carrefour.

EDIT for update : DOH! Forgot :person_facepalming:

I too have heard good things about Guinness Zero and going to the supermarket soon, so I’ll keep a look out.

Tastes differ, so the best thing is to try them all. Some French 0.0% have sugar added, :face_vomiting: so always check the ingredients.
If you can get over the border to Spain there’s more on offer. I like Amstel tostado.

Intermarché down my way also sell the Jade 0.0% blonde bière and a 4.5% gluten free one which my celiac daughter really enjoys.

My vote is for the 1664.

Ok after testing a few this week, IMHO, 1664 is gassy soda water, all fiz zero taste.
Not usually going anwhere near Corona offerings, rellys gave me one of their zeros which was far better than their alcohol laced offerings, cost a few cents more but at least not as gassy as 1664 with a lot more flavour

I agree. I drink zero beer as its lower in calories, as well as easier on your liver (just had my blood tests stats and liver health is the biggy!) So glad that FINALLY there are zero beers in bars in France. Which generation do we have to thank for that…Z or X:sweat_smile: don’t like english beer anyway so pleased that zero lager belgian type beer is now ‘a thing’… irs taken a few years…

HyperU in St. Junien stocks Guinness zero

Nothing too exciting, just a mildly jocular response to the emoji marker that came out as « sweat_smile » but, unfortunately, when I tried it, it actually rendered the emoji properly so the point was lost.

I totally agree with regard to 1664. Imho this also applies to Heineken and, apologies once again, Corona.
I find many such as Ghostship and Brooklyn are too citrusy. For me the favourites remain Leffe and Affligen which actually taste like beer.

Not tried Affligen, I shall add that to my shopping list, cannot actualy remember seeing it? Which shop stocks it?

Intermarché stocks it down here in 47.

I seem to find it quite easily. Pretty sure of Intermarche and Carrefour for a start.

The Nicolas chain of wines and spirits shops might have other 0.0% beers if there’s one nearby.

They’re also the only stockists of Pimm’s I know of in these parts.

Oh I’ll have to look for that for hubby.

Same here. I did try a 1664 blanc I think it waa, much better than the original!!

You are not kidding, Grimbergen purchased yesterday tastes like panache and not in a good way worst after 1664 which is tasteless.
Couldnt find Affligen yesterday in Intermarche, will try LeClerc today. So far of the mass produced propbably out of the same mega factories offerings they are all a bit not there yet. Corona zero being the best more full bodied offering
