Are they early or late?
4 days early! No notice they were advancing the workā¦.sigh.
Another early bird, the wagon bringing my shed arrived at 2pm, only an hour into the 1300-1800 estimate. A rigid not an artic and he had a tail lift which allowed him to unload from the lorry but not take it far into our joint entrance. Marie-Paul said leave it there 'till 8pm and then the 3 of us can break the bonds and handball it onto my trailer which, with my newly repaired Partner, I will back down to it.
From there to the site is in the garden trailer pulled by the Husqvarner mower, or bit by bit in the wheelbarrow. 
But not in full sunshine.

Ah, so it was a Partner that broke its cambelt? You never mentioned what vehicle it was. Does it have a 1.6 hdi diesel? Thatās what was in my 207 that almost broke its cambelt last month.
I thought I confirmed it to @hairbear I think it was who asked the question too.

Weāve been keeping our windows open as much as possible recently. This morning while working in my office I heard the occasional noise, like something lightly striking a book or box, but saw nothing, so assumed it was something outside moving in the wind. A few minutes ago it became more frequent, and suddenly I spotted a small bird, moving along the bookshelves.
I was able to approach it, moving very slowly while speaking gently, and it let me encircle it with my hands - looked like a juvenile goldfinch. I placed it on the windowsill and it flew away almost immediately, hopefully to grow up and reproduce next year.

We keep our windows wide open in the night too and a couple of days ago we found a Common Pipistrelle on the floor. So picked it up using welders gloves and gently took into the caves and hung the glove up.
The bat then dutifully climbed down the glove and hung upside down. Happy days.

Probably like many people of my age, I had many āauntiesā when I was a child. Most probably werenāt related to us, but they were still āauntieā. I recently discovered that one of these aunties died in a care home in Blackpool. I hadnāt seen her since I was a child as she moved away. It seems as though Nellie was related to us, distantly through my great grandmother and herself never married and was an only child herself. Her estate has just been settled and Iāve inherited the sum of Ā£242.40 
. I only really agreed to be part of the inheritance process because I was promised (and got) a detailed family tree, which I was very interested in. I was expecting to be able to buy at most a cheap bottle of wine from what I received, so itās a surprise.

Now that summer is here, a āyoungā manās thoughts naturally turn to the winters heating. We today took delivery of a pallet of granulĆ©s (72 x 15 kg sacks) ,which will last us about 3 years, including the existing sacks we had.This is what a pallet of 72 sacks looks like (ā¬503), and below this is what 120 look like. Amazingly the chap was about to deliver 12 pallets to an individual house (a chateau?!).Goodness only knows what temperature they must heat their house at, the order is apparently repeated each year..We are too mean to keep the heating above 15Ā°.

And then you have a power cut, and a cold house, while I quickly fetch some proper wood from the garden, and have a warm one.
Iām considering if itās worth hooking my poĆŖle up to an uninterruptible power supply for this very reason. The power draw is tiny so it should run for a good while.

Iām not sure that a pellet stove draws very little, because of the need to heat air to maintain ignition.
Iāll double check but I plugged it into a power measuring socket when we first got it and it looked minimal.
I looked back at my Home Assistant records and I donāt see any significant draw to the extent that I canāt figure out when it has actually been running however the docs say 325W when burning.
