No I appreciate that but it’s naughty of them as no one else is asking for this level of paperwork unless you have exceptional circumstances as to why you need a card updated early.

Ah this may be why they’re asking for the kitchen sink, however, it’s still heavy handed.
Applications officially aren’t supposed to be applied for until 2 months before your card expires.

Sounds like our prefecture is a bit of an outlier.
Unfortunately it sounds like it. If you have the documents they ask for you’ll be fine.
That’s the information I found too, so intend to send what they all for.
I’m finding this all quite stressful. I understand that you have to provide paperwork etc but why there can’t be consistency throughout France beats me. What will they do with the unnecessary paperwork we send to them? Just bin it?

There will be more consistency when they all move to démarches-simplifiées but this will be slow.
They will use the information you submit to process your application. You cannot apply online if you have submitted a paper application unless they tell you to. They don’t destroy the paperwork it’s kept.
There is only one link per prefecture, 24s has been available for about a week.

Hello Paul, I’ve updated the title to 5 Year Renewal. If you have an Article 50 TUE 10 year CdS then this does not concern you for another 5 years and hopefully by then the system will have a unified approach to these renewals.
