It’s probably a system setting - but that would need an admin to alter.
Not able to register for Facebook to see the group so this thread has been so helpful! Has anyone seen any news about Démarches-Simplifiées for renewing 5 year cards in Pyrénées-Atlantiques?
I gave you the wrong link for 64, I only deal in numbers not names.
You have to make an rdv to take your application, I’ve given the link in my post for the list of documents.

I would not use the word “gifted” when speaking of fessebook, unless it is in the same context as brexit the “gift” that keeps giving.
Tomorrow we are off to apply for our 10 year cards at the Préfécture in Avignon.
Forecast for 75km winds. Great, not.
Wish me luck!

Quick update on swapping my five-year WARP card for a 10-year one. Popped into the dept. 24 préfecture in Perigieux today and there was only one other person the waiting room. Someone else had missed their appointment, it turned out. I was asked for my four photos and fingerprints and was out of there in 10 minutes. I’d taken a bunch of supporting documents with me in case they wanted them, but they didn’t ask. The pleasant lady said they’d send me a message with an RdV to pick up my new card. Delighted with the experience.
Good news, yes very similar to the reports on our FB groups.
Be aware that when you are asked to make an appointment to collect your card it has to be after your card has expired.
Yesterday, my husband and I voyaged in full sunshine to a much colder and windy Avignon for our appointed visit to the Préfécture 84.
Armed with two complete dossiers, a friendly lady saw us together. And just as reported by Mr Rogers above, done and dusted and out the gate within 15 minutes. The lady was complimentary that all copies and originals were on hand, plus impressed that we came with our (not actually required) signed loyalty declarations. I am always one for over egging.
Apparently, our 10yr cards will be ready to collect from the Préfécture at the end of December, and she was careful to be clear that we should come ourselves at the exact time appointed sent to us by SMS.
Surprisingly swift, since our 5yr cards, which were returned for us in the meantime, do not expire until January 10.
Congratulations Susannah ![]()
Excellent news Susannah, well done.
@kim If I might go off at a slight tangent, any tips for chasing up the prefecture (86) on my request for an initial Article 50 CdS? My récépissé expires in about 3 weeks so I’m getting a bit twitchy.
Happy to open a new thread if you’d prefer.
I seem to remember my friend had his récépissé extended several times before the Strasbourg Prefecture finally gave him a CdS so that’s presumably possible in your case too, John. If the worst comes to the worst.
It’s ok here as it’s Art50 related.
Have you tried emailing them, pref-etrangers-courrier@vienne.gouv.fr
I was just checking to see if they had a link for prolongation of a récépissé, as many prefectures do, sadly 86 don’t that I can see.
Send an email with your name, dob and a copy your récépissé, ask for an update and a renewal of your récépissé.
I did, a few weeks ago, to silence. I was thinking LRAR next. Helpful, do you think?
Yes, LRAR at least registers your request or try an email again first, it’s cheaper.
Did I mention that I was Scottish ? ![]()
Hi everyone,
I’m confused I received two rendez-vous at the prefecture de Paris (75004) the first one I received on the appointment on 25th of November 2025 it was fine, I was surprised today receiving message on Démarches simplifiées saying that I have another rendez-vous for 19 December 2025 for the of 10yers Cds.
I don’t know if it’s an error on the system or the appointment system it’s keeping sending rendezvous again by it’s self.?
Now I have two appointments I don’t know wish one I will turn up.
Anyone had the same experience or can share with any informations will be much appreciated
no but the vibe was strong ![]()
I’ve just replied to your email.
When does your card expire?
Can you not email them and ask? However, I have no idea how quick they are to respond.
