Crit'Air cert

Green sticker (Crit’Air zero) - electric vehicles.

Then categories from 1 to 5 in order of increasing degree of pollution emission.

Vehicles in categories with higher numbers face more restrictions than those with lower Crit’Air numbers.

That’s it.

OK thanks, got it now. Don’t suppose you know if the R1 around Antwerp is exempt from the LEZ? The map is vague.
Fortunately the Paris one is only Monday to Friday. J

Dont forget class 3 vehicles are banned from a lot of areas like Rouen and Paris from Jan 1 2025.

This map suggests it is outside the zone:

Yes I see it. And even though the Ring has LEZ on both sides in parts the road is white.
But I’m battling the inevitable and this will be the last trip from Rotterdam to the Haute Pyrenese for my 1984 Volvo 360. The train option looks good if you book 2 months in advance. Two trains, change at Bordeaux, €200, 9 hours.

I think they usually keep major through routes outside Low Emission Zones - the one exception I know of is Rouen, where the main route from Dieppe down towards the A13/A28 does go through the Rouen LEZ - supposedly “camera enforced from 2024”.

This has been reversed in Rouen’s case as the air quality has improved.

Thanks, where did you find out about this?

Thanks Tim, thats helped a lot as Friends would have had a long detour.

Thanks for heads up.

Years since the above post, and after months of waiting, finally got a new Crit Air vignette. Unfortunately, I’ve just had to order another one as this one has a previously unencountered problem. It’s taken so long to arrive that the temporary adhesive has become permanent -

Good grief

It’s obviously already decided where it wants to be stuck🤣

Are you being serious?? it only took days for our Crit’Air cert to arrive.. but that was when they first came out and it’s (thankfully) still going strong!

If Crit’Air delivery delays have caused the glue-problem, I hope you haven’t been charged for a replacement ??? :crossed_fingers:

I thought i read on here that the Crit Air system was being scrapped or had been scrapped?Do you need one of these stickers or not? Thanks.

Couldn’t see a simple straightforward way of complaining over such a small outlay.

They will still needed for Paris, and I think, Strasbourg.

I’ve got both Crit’air (even though I doubt I’ll ever drive into any of the Cities), and the Umweltplakette (and I’m registered for Belgium, which is free), because I’d rather have them and not need them, than need them and not have them.

Nothing more about this locally as it was supposed to start on Jan 1st so we got them last summer in readiness. At least its there should the need arise and what it cost is forgettable anyway.

Exactly. I have a Crit’Air on both my car and motorbike, mainly because I typically go through the Rouen zone when I travel south from the ferry.
