Hi there
I just checked my attestation de droits
For me it says
Valable 06/10/2020 - 05/10/2021
I then checked my husbands who is French same thing.
Living ,working in France over 30 years.
Just for information for those who have not just arrived.
Hope this réassures those people.
Not understanding why others only have until December
You guys must be relatively new here, or have not worked here.
Good luck to all
Hugs
On 4th October I sent a message via the Ameli website asking them why my attestation had an end date of 31/12/20 and was this a mistake.
I have received a reply via their messaging system which says:
Suite à votre message du 04.10.2020, je vous informe que les documents fournis pour l’obtention de vos droits à l’Assurance Maladie indiquaient une date limite au 31.12.2020. Je vous invite donc à renouveler vos démarches pour la prolongation de vos droits à l’Assurance Maladie française.
This is google’s translation of the above:
Following your message of 04.10.2020, I inform you that the documents
provided for obtaining your health insurance rights indicated
a deadline of 31.12.2020. I therefore invite you to renew your
procedures for the extension of your French health insurance rights.
@graham Thanks for the input Graham. Nope. Been with CPAM from the start. Still with them. Interestingly our experience doesn’t tally with someone else’s (hearsay) told by Villeneuve CPAM office that it was because of Brexit.
I think we ARE going to have to make an appointment. I will wait a few days to see whether the English helpline has other/ additional info first.
Well Vanessa usually looks after our health insurance issues and she has been racking her brain on this conundrum.
Other than that, she’s stumped.
Looking back in our files for RAM, we had to submit a piece of identification (such as passport or national ID) to gain entry to the scheme which is time limited. Ours (since renewed) expire in 2021 which may have been diarized and needs review at some point.
Just clutching at straws really in the hope of some inspiriation
Just another straw to look at, but your S1 didn’t have an end date on it by any chance? Ours doesn’t, but we got it pre-referendum so the concept didn’t exist of the system not continuing .
@JaneJones Our S1 we got 13 years ago and we’re just turning over the house to see if we can find a copy.
In a way I suspect it’s academic since they’ll probably need a new one.
I’d be interested to know whether anyone else is trying to sort this out and what, if any, success you are having and have you been given the same reason for cancelling your card. Thanks for any feedback.
