Lot-et-Garonne CPAM cancelling category S1 Cartes Vitales 31/12/20. Other depts likely to follow

@Dizzy Thanks Dorinda, useful to know. Interesting that you are not S1s

If you are having problems getting a response might be worth using the English helpline at Ameli:
09 74 75 36 46.

Not least, I wasn’t kept waiting on the line for ages and they may well contact your CPAM for you.

Thanks, Sue, I’ll give them a call.

Hi there
I just checked my attestation de droits
For me it says
Valable 06/10/2020 - 05/10/2021
I then checked my husbands who is French same thing.
Living ,working in France over 30 years.

Just for information for those who have not just arrived.

Hope this réassures those people.

Not understanding why others only have until December
You guys must be relatively new here, or have not worked here.
Good luck :four_leaf_clover: to all
Hugs

As you’ve guesed, Anne-Marie, they’re all in a different boat to us

Hi Ann

Posted earlier on that our AdD runs until 05/10/21.

We have been here for four and a half years, but have never worked here, and are classed as inactif.

Curious and curiouser !

Andy

On 4th October I sent a message via the Ameli website asking them why my attestation had an end date of 31/12/20 and was this a mistake.

I have received a reply via their messaging system which says:

Suite à votre message du 04.10.2020, je vous informe que les documents
fournis pour l’obtention de vos droits à l’Assurance Maladie indiquaient
une date limite au 31.12.2020. Je vous invite donc à renouveler vos
démarches pour la prolongation de vos droits à l’Assurance Maladie
française.

This is google’s translation of the above:

Following your message of 04.10.2020, I inform you that the documents
provided for obtaining your health insurance rights indicated
a deadline of 31.12.2020. I therefore invite you to renew your
procedures for the extension of your French health insurance rights.

Any views anyone?

will that be achieved by taking your CV to the pharmacie and doing a mise à jour?

@graham NO. See my post above. I went to the pharmacy. Pharmacist did a MaJ and could not understand why the date was 31/12 and did not change

have you checked your Attestation again today… it’s quite possible that it takes 24 hours to update the system…

I “mis à jour” mine and OH’s today… and will be checking over the next few days… to see if we go into 2021

@SuePJ were you changed from RAM to CPAM Jan this year? If so, it could be something to do with the documentation sent from RAM perhaps?

Mmm… anyone else here applied for CdS last October when it was “without agreement” ???

that’s the only thing that could have changed … if the system has got a hiccup… as far as I am concerned…

@graham Thanks for the input Graham. Nope. Been with CPAM from the start. Still with them. Interestingly our experience doesn’t tally with someone else’s (hearsay) told by Villeneuve CPAM office that it was because of Brexit.

I think we ARE going to have to make an appointment. I will wait a few days to see whether the English helpline has other/ additional info first.

@Stella Not us Stella. We’ve had ours nearly 2 years now.

Well Vanessa usually looks after our health insurance issues and she has been racking her brain on this conundrum.
Other than that, she’s stumped.
Looking back in our files for RAM, we had to submit a piece of identification (such as passport or national ID) to gain entry to the scheme which is time limited. Ours (since renewed) expire in 2021 which may have been diarized and needs review at some point.
Just clutching at straws really in the hope of some inspiriation

Just another straw to look at, but your S1 didn’t have an end date on it by any chance? Ours doesn’t, but we got it pre-referendum so the concept didn’t exist of the system not continuing .

@JaneJones Our S1 we got 13 years ago and we’re just turning over the house to see if we can find a copy.
In a way I suspect it’s academic since they’ll probably need a new one.

“rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated” (Mark Twain) comes to mind there…

I’d be interested to know whether anyone else is trying to sort this out and what, if any, success you are having and have you been given the same reason for cancelling your card. Thanks for any feedback.

Oh dear… there’s a little hiccup… :relaxed: :relaxed:

Everything seems to be down today, impôts.gouv, ANTS and Ameli. Haven’t been able to get in to any of them.
