Sweet FA! Told ya - and it’s currently 35.1c (@1507hrs1507hrs). I wasn’t in time to take a screenshot of the precipitation at 1400hrs which said 100% thunderstorms.
Still waiting for some rain. Well water level now critical.
Where did your 4,000 litres go ?
I’m so fed up with promised rain not appearing. I wish whatever is blocking the weather would move on.

Thunderstorms forecast here this evening and in the early morning tomorrow before 38-39°C Wednesday to Friday.
If this is what future summers hold in store, I’m moving underground.

Can I recommend Cooper Pedy @NotALot - been there and it’s wonderful living underground but a bit warm to say the least when you come out of your ‘cave’.

Good for you.
I saw Coober Pedy on an Australian series on Netflix called Instant Hotel. The scenery looked amazing but the dugout the contestants stayed in was an ex-opal mine (maybe they all are) with particles constantly falling off the ceilings so they had to keep dusting off the furniture. Outside was very hot and teeming with insects that no one appreciated.
Sadly it didn’t inspire us to go there, maybe it was the wrong time of year.

Agreed.
The tank has been used for three months on the pots round the cottage/gite and along our house terrace and on a bank that I foolishly decided to plant at the beginning of all this.
I was thinking more along the lines of digging further into the limestone ridge my existing house sits on, but doing so in Coober Pedy makes the chance of the excavation paying for itself far more likely.
Don’t believe it! the 90%+ certainty is disappearing and now showing far less.
I am such a lousy tourist that I passed through both Coober Peedy and The Alice with barely a glance. All my mates wanted to do was get to Melbourne as quickly as possible and I to Sydney. 
The leaden skies of this morning and light rain, promised much, but turned into yet another hot sunny day.
After a long nap in the pm I took Jules for a walk in the shade, put another coat of varnish onto the, now 2, first beams for the shed and then set about ploughing a few furrows in the pond.. Very refreshing 21c in it and 34c out in the shade. 
If feel guilty because it’s ‘only’ about 29 out there and we’re sheltering inside with blinds drawn.
A small bit of humour - saw a road sign today “Beware, mud on road”.

Whichever one has battery back up power as a thunderstorm just took the power out.
Am currently using my 1 bar of Orange as a hotspot.

2 mm last night, even though it carried on like it was 20. Around 10pm tonight another, unforcasted, storm passed with brief rain, not much I don’t think.
We had rain last night, ( v.welcome), 19 today but rising to 29 on Thursday! This is Cumbria, it’s not meant to be bloody hot

A welcome storm last night, I could clearly hear the rain this time along with the cool breeze and bright lightning. In the flashes I spotted a dark figure in the doorway, Jules, and invited him in and onto the bed. He settled down and stayed for several hours.
He isn’t usually worried by this so think he might have been snuggling up to calm me. Either way the whole event was very welcome and I see the new water in the pond has been increased again.

Maybe I should have a trip up to Cumbria, every time I’ve been there and it’s been sunny I’ve always said to myself it’s a bad sign, it means it’s going to rain soon.

Still no rain in my end of La Manche. We have had about 10 mins in the last 8 weeks.
Forecast say no rain until the weekend if we are lucky.
All grass is like straw and the trees are starting to drop their leaves.
Water butts have one last watering in them, then we are really going to struggle.
